Breast Cancer is the abnormal and uncontrolled growth of breast cells that in general has been known to occur because of resulting changes in mutation and abnormal changes.

These changes cells undergo uncontrolled multiplication that will result in the formation of tumor, which can be benign or harmless, or malignant or dangerous to health. Breast Cancer is the term that has been given to malignant tumor that has developed from cells in the breast.


Breast Cancer

Breast Cancer usually begins in the cell lobules in the milk producing glands or the ducts, and is less common to find them in regions of fatty tissues. In the later stage of breast cancer, the cancer spreads to the fatty tissues and reaches the lymph nodes in the underarm, which creates the pathway for spreading breast cancer to other parts of the cells.

Diet has been thought to contribute and has been partly responsible for about 30 to 40 percent for the occurrence of cancers. Diet can be the cause and cure for breast cancers. A healthy diet comprising of low fat and high in vegetable can prevent breast cancer.



Foods to Prevent Breast Cancer

The following foods have been identified to prevent breast cancer:


1. Yellow Orange Vegetables

These foods are high in beta and carotene that has been linked to lower rates of cancer.

2. Cruciferous Vegetables

Cruciferous Vegetables will include broccoli, cabbage, radish, cauliflower, turnip, turnip greens contain indole-3-carbinol that lowers women’s estrogen level, an hormone that has been identified in promoting breast cancer.  In addition, these food substances also contain compounds that has been found to contain compounds called SGS that fight mammary tumors.

3. Nuts

Nuts like almonds, walnuts and pumpkin seeds has been identified to contain healthy fats as in butter, linolenic acids and linolenic acids that has found to have an important role in aiding the fight against cancer.

4. Tomatoes

Tomatoes will include cooked, dried, juices, sauces and soups that contain a compound called lycopene, which are linked to lower rates of occurrence of breast and prostate cancer.

5. Red Wine

Rather than drinking red wine, is good to consume as grapes. This is because of the fact the fermented sugar of the grapes as alcohol, in known to increase the risk of the occurrence of breast cancer. 7. Vitamin D

Women whose diet are rich in Vitamin D are also known to have less breast cancer, while the recommended levels of Vitamin D added to the diet taken regularly, has been known to prevent breast cancers. For this the exposure of sun all round the year for at least 20 minutes in a day has been recommended.




8. Berries and Dark Cherries

A small bowl of berries and dark cherries has been identified as the top source to prevent breast cancer and a compound has been identified to prevent breast cancer.

9. Limonoid

Limonoids in the white of the orange has been found to prevent breast cancer, and is recommended to eat the whole fruit oranges and mandarins. The use of real oranges and lemon oils for cooking and health drinks has been identified to help to prevent breast cancers.

10. Whole Grains

Intake of refined and whole grains has been identified to prevent breast cancer. These food have been known to contain compounds that can promote estrogen hormone that are known to lower the levels of occurrence of breast cancer.

11. Butter

Butter has been already mentioned elsewhere in the article to contain linolenic acids for promoting the prevention of breast cancer. Other compounds will include CLA that has been identified to prevent breast cancer. In addition, the use of trans-fat free substances will help in preventing the occurrence of breast cancer.

12. Green Tea

The olives contain a higher content of phenols and to protect them from oxidation, the fruits are loaded with heaps of antioxidants that aid to prevent breast cancer.

14. Garlic

Garlic has been identified with compounds that prevent breast cancer and contain compounds that kill breast cancerous tissues and cells.

15. Spinach

Spinach and other high fiber containing vegetables are foods that have been known to aid in lowering the risk of breast cancer.

Apart from these preventing bad habits like drinking, smoking and other lifestyle changes with moderate exercises aids in having and helping the reducing the risk of breast cancer.
